Default Tank Rub

Couldnt find this addressed anywhere. So on the Vegas, my legs rest against the tank. Seems ok in jeans, but with chaps I would think it would rub. I have an 03 that I just picked up and no rub yet but it just seems like it would.
Anyone experiance this or am I just paranoid?

Ive experienced the same i can see it being a problem in the future. I was recomended to get the bottom 3 inches or so 3M'd that should hold it for a few years.
