I wouldn't say with a 100% certainty but I'm guessing that they are the same. Take it for what it's worth.

Default vegas/kingpin

Hey, Thanks for the reply. I checked with the dealer and they said they were the same. I am trying to upgrade my exhaust without spending 850 buck at the dealer. The next thing is I guess Victory went to the 100 C.I. in 08 so I am thinking that 07 and older pipes won't work and then there is the 5 year warranty. So looks like I'm stuck with stock pipes until I can save up some coin. Anyway, thanks for the reply and ride safe.

VT,
I might not be understanding your statement but I have an 07 Vegas 8ball with a 100CI motor. I have the shotgun pipes on mine and love them. They have just the right amount of bark for me without being obnoxious. I agree, they are aren't cheap. You can probably find them cheaper on ebay but the catch is you will want your ECU remapped unless you by a power commander.

Well that sheds a whole new light on things. I am new to the Vic's so I am still learning. There seems to be a bunch of pipes on e-bay to fit 05 to 07 bikes, so I just assumed that they made a change in 08. I think physically the 07's are the same as the 08's, but I may be wrong. If they are, the only other problem would be if the 07 re-map card would be compatable with my 08 computer. Thanks again and ride safe.

VT,
I think you are on the right track with the bikes being physically the same. I know there were a few changes but I'm not sure the exhausts were one of them. Definitely double check before you buy something but I'm betting they will work. The ECU programming is done by computer if I'm not mistaken but I could be wrong (not a card). Those I'm guess are different between years. You may want to ask the question in the *** club. Some of those guys know far more than I do.

Ya I'm pretty sure your right about the computer. I think they download the info off of the card and then install it in the bike. I just got done browsing e-bay and there isn't as much there as I thought. Seems to be more for 03 to 05 bikes. I did ride a Kingpin with swept exhaust and didn't care for the sound. Seemed to have a little to much of a snap for my liking. Maybe it's the way there shaped. The shotguns seem to be more throaty. I guess I better just bite the bullet and go with the dealer exhaust. Seems to be to much potential of ending up with $300 to$400 of stuff I can't use. Thanks again for your input, it's all good info for someone who is new to the Vic's. Is the link for the *** on this site? Sometimes reading the old threads reveals info without bothering somebody. Thanks

VT,
It may be less of a headache to go to the dealer. I'm not sure if the link for the Victory Motorcycle Club is on here anywhere but if you type that into google you will find it. I think the page is a little harder to navigate but far more info on there and a lot more people to ask. I'm not sure if I have heard the down swept pipes but I think they are shorter in length than the shotgun which make them louder. Believe me when you snap into it people will know you're there.

05 was the first yr. for the 100 ci hammer only
06 all bikes got the 100 ci 8 balls had 5 speed all others 6 sp.
08, 09, 10 hammer, jackpot, vision got the 106 ci , vegas, kingpin 8-ball 100 ci all have closed loop fuel injection and therefor different pipes, different mapping codes

the 50 state bike refers to calif as we have even stricter emission standards.

but not to worry when they pass cap and trade , which deals with green house gasses you too can have an underpowered shitty running car, bike, truck

i believe this is correct if not someone chime in
