In the other land we have a second annual group ride being planned. Below explains a bit of what we have working.

Its still a ways away but I figure the more notice, the better. I'm trying to get together a 2nd annual Texas hill country ride. Earlier this year a couple of us from the vog got together in February in kerrville, tx. We had a really good turn out and even though we got rained out most of the time, we all still had a blast.

This time around I'm starting planning early so it gives more riders who are interested, an opportunity to plan way ahead and schedule time off from work. For those who've never been, the area is well known for an amazing and scenic motorcycle rider destination. Plenty of sights to take in and some great twisty roads.

So I'll just get to the meat and potatoes right off the bat.

When: Wednesday march 21, 2018 through Sunday march 25, 2018 (I'll call in advance to reserve rooms for Wednesday night through Saturday night and everyone leave Sunday to make it back home in time for work Monday)

Where: we will be riding all over Texas hill country, but the hub last time which worked out well for everyone is super 8 hotel in kerrville, tx. The address is 2127 Sidney Baker , Kerrville, TX 78028. I will call ahead once we get a head count to try and work out a group rate if one is available. Even if no discounts are available, I just checked and the going rate is $64 a night.

Who: everyone from the vog is invited. Last year I trailered my bike down since it was in feb and way to cold/snowy to ride from Michigan. I have some Texas natives already signed up and itching to hit the road.

One more thing, there will be 2 riding groups showing us around. One will be for those wanting to take in some amazing sights at a leisurely pace and another group for those wanting to bless the great state of Texas with your victory floorboards. Please let me know if you're interested and we'll keep this thread for all Texas hill country related conversations. I hope to see many riders there!

Now from that we have a few including @MagVic CCT that are planning to go for a full week. They will be going to the Davis Mountain area and riding from the 17th to the 21st where they will head to Kerrville. My plan is to meet them Wednesday in Kerrville.

All are welcome.

Would be great to get back home. Got caught in a freak storm a week back starting off on the Mackinac bridge, hard rain, no visibility, 50 mph winds and had to ride the steel grate due to construction. 5 miles and 20 stories up sideways. Pucker factor was up there pretty high fir a bit. Good adrenaline rush tho.

Got to the Vic rally there were guys scared to ride it dry in no wind...lol. Be good to have some decent weather there since March sucks here.

I'll keep an eye on the Weather, but tentative yes right now.

I might with the wife.

This group ride started last year when Teflon Mike came to Texas for vacation. We said then we would try to do at least one big group ride a year. This year was a good turn out but I suspect next year will be better.

I read this thread the other day. Really read it just know. Put have plans to ride to Bandera in Feb. One other Victory rider and a couple of HD's. You know there was a Victory meet at the Johnson City Pig Roast that went for ten years. I guess the largest number of Victory scooters was 35, in that area. Riders from all over Texas and a few from out of state now and then. Many from Houston. It started in 2005 and the only time it did not rain was the 10th year. Only 2 of use made it. The old days, I have ridden with Victory riders from New York to California. From Washington state to Florida. Rode with 2 guys from Canada and 1 from Great Britain.

The Bulldog is ready for our trip! BTW, I chewed my image up long ago. Like all things that end up on the floor in a Bulldogs world.

Just a reminder our ride is just around the corner. It is on and should be a great turn out. If you're thinking about joining flip the switch and book you a room.

We will be staying at the Super 8 in Kerrville. Many will be arriving Wednesday March 28 and leaving that Saturday or Sunday. I'm leaving Saturday.

Anybody in the Houston area that would like to ride out with Chuck and I are welcome to join. We're are heading up Wednesday morning. We'll be meeting at the big Buccees on 290 at 0530 with kickstand up at 0600 to arrive in Kerrville around noon to meet the group, check in, and grab a burger.

Anybody interested hit my up for more details.

The wild flowers should be out pretty good when ya'll do your run. They are generally spectacular on the Willow City loop. Plus it is a outstanding road. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
