I'm sure as all of you know, in Victory's first year, they produced 1500 numbered motorcycles. These bikes were built by three man teams. I own the first (#1) serial #1501 V92c to come off the production line at Victory's plant. My father bought the bike and it was ridden on the Kyle Petty Charity ride twice. Autographed by Kyle and Richard. I am interested in selling the motorcycle. The Bad news, it will not stay in 3rd or 4th gear. There are some scratches and it needs some TLC. It has the original stock seat but has laced wheels. I have researched what it will take to get the transmission out and fixed and I realize that it's more then I can accomplish. It's a one of a kind and needs to be in a good home. Please email me or let me know what you think.

Am I reading your post right? Are you saying that you own the 1st Victory ever built? I'm curious to know if you have any pictures and what you are asking for the bike?

Your partially right. I own the first Victory to come off the production line. There were 1500 numbered motorcycle's built by three man teams prior to mine. I own what is called production unit #1. As far as what I'm asking I havent set a price as I'm not sure what the bike may be worth. I am interested in selling it. I do have pictures that I can email.

I still think it's awesome!!! I would love to take on a "project" but I have a feeling that it probably is worth more than I could afford. If you get a chance maybe you could post pics in the gallery. I would love to see it. I'm still curious to know what you are looking to get for it when you set a price.

I have found out that the 99' V92c blue book is around $4500 in good condition. I would consider that a starting point. Given the heritage, even witht the transmission troubles I think around $5500 would be a fair price.

The first 1500 Victories were numbered.(on the triple tree) How can your #1501 be the first off the assembly line when #1205 is for sale in this forum?

Your right about the first 1500 bikes. What you missed is that they were built by three man teams before the production facility was operational. My bike is Production unit #1 (serial #1501) as it was the first bike to roll down the assembly line from Vicotries plant.

I don't know about the three man teams. What number is on your upper triple clamp? Please read on page 2 of this classified section from "Vic1205". He is selling #1205 of the first 1500 Victory's produced. The first 1500 motorcycles started with 0001.There is a registry for the first 1500 at victory-motorcycle.com

The first 1500 were numbered bikes and they all had a numbers on the triple tree. 1-1500. My Serial number is 1501 it does not have a number on the tripple tree. Like I said, my motorcycle was the first production unit to actually roll down the assembly line at victories plant in Spirit Lake, Iowa. I have a plaque from victory denoting my motorcycle as "Production unit #1". I'm not sure how to better explain it.
