I have a 2000 V92C. I tried to start it and the starter won't stop turning. Even when the switch and key are off the starter keeps turning.I had to disconnect the batt. to stop it. The dealer said it was probably a bad bearing in the starter that was not allowing it to dissengage.So i put a new starter in it. Still doing the same thing.Any help would be appreciated.

With The Battery Disconnected Remove The Wire Going To The Start Switch From The Starter Relay Reconnect Battery If The Problem Is Solved Check Your Wiring To Start Switch For Short Circuit. If Problem Pursits I Suspect The Relay Contacts Are Burnt Closed. Replace Relay. The Starter Relay Is On The Rear Side Of Battery Box

If the starter turns over with both the key, and switch off....You have a bad starter relay

Thanks! Thats what I thought.Just wanted a second opinion before I drop the $230 that the dealer wants for a new relay. Does anyone know where I can find one cheaper???

Find a Bosh parts listing online, and you will find a real close replacement for around $40. I am pretty sure you have a Siemans relay stock, and the PN listed on it will cross over with a little investigation.
