Recently bought an 2005 8 Ball with 13 K miles. Charged up the battery, and seems to strongly power up the bike when turned to on but the motor will not engage the starter until several tries pushing starter button, then the motor starts. Seems like a starter issue, or something loose, does not appear to be a battery issue. Found some information that the v92c has had starter issues, any info appreciated. May have to get service which is not close in my area if I can't determine problem and fix, thanks.

Check ALL battery connections and grounds. They do come loose and cause these problems. If you have checked them and they are all tight then you may need a throttle body cleaning and or your TPS adjusted.

The V92 thing you are talking about was NOT an issue. Some people that did engine upgrades like bigger bore, higher compression pistons had problems but that was because the starters weren't built for the higher compression.

Your 05 8ball shouldn't have any starter problems with so little mileage.
