Hello, just registered today to get some feedback on a problem I’m having. The tail lights/brake lights stopped working. The front signal lights work fine, but both the rear signals blink at the same time. Also only the front signals when the hazard switch is turned on.Found out the hard way that my fuel light doesn’t work either.I’ve checked fuses & rotated the relay switches. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Remove the rear fender and trace the wires from fuse box area where wires connectors to the rear. I have a Judge, but when I had trouble similar to this I found broken wires under the rear fender. Just a thought. Maybe one has come unplugged or is fraided and wires are crossed etc.

That's three separate circuits that aren't working. Unless someone rerouted the rear fender wiring to a very bad spot it would be rare for all the wiring to be broken/shorted at one time. Possibly (hopefully) the plug under the seat has just come undone. Check there first before dismantling the fender.

With the seat off it's pretty easy to follow the harness from the rear fender. I'm not familiar with the 2008 but on mine the plug is inside of the frame behind the fuse box. If that's not the problem a multi-meter would make things a whole lot easier. Hope you have one.

PS. Does the bike have the original bulb type lights?

Not sure about the 2008 Kingpin, but taking the rear fender off a Judge is not brain surgery. Once the seat is removed anyone with a 10 mm socket wrench can remove 4 bolts and pull the fender up in about 5-10 minutes. Of course it is advisable to put some padding on the tank to keep it from being scarred when you fold up the fender. I know because I have had mine off 3-4 times for various reasons. Of course it might be more complicated with a 2008 Kingpin. All I know is the Judge, but surely there is not that much difference in the two? And as I stated the wiring in a Judge runs along the bottom of the fender not the frame. Don't let anyone tell you it is complicated job. Because it is not.

Vic steel frames have issues with the harness that run under the gas tank. They will screw with the fuel pump and other things.
Mine got mashed and it wouldn't start. Gauge showed a huge E and the low fuel light was not working. Found a wire I repaired and have had no issues since.

Under the same seat you have the harness that connects to the lights. Run a meter from the rear through the harness connections and see where its flaking.

KP wiring is a breeze. Easy to follow the wiring and any shorts or cuts, bad ground. If you dont have a multimeter grab an el cheapo from walmart for 15 bucks. All the voltages, resistance specs are in the manual.
