I was looking in the manual yesterday and it tells me that the 8 Ball comes with the 100 engine, but the cheese wedge on the side says 106?????? WTH???? I bought it used with 1700 miles last October. Is the manual incorrect-- is it the 100 or 106 and did somebody change the cheese wedge or does it come wrong from the factory?

Anybody else have one?

I believe it was 2011 when Vic went to the 106 in all bikes. Vic was probably using up old literature hoping no one would notice.

In the manual the Kingpin and Kingpin Ness shows the 106. It is only the 8 Ball model showing the 100.

2011 Kingpin 8-Ball had the 106/6-speed.
The 100" 8-ball models had a 5-speed transmission. If you have six gears, it's a 106".

Since I made this thread, somebody snunk in my house while I was gone and switched manuals with one that has the correct numbers. When I looked today it shows the 106 CID engine. At 58 years of age this is starting to scare the crap out of me! How could they switch my manual???????:crzy:

Gettin old sucks. :(

Ok let me clear this up a bit. The manual says the displacement for the 8 Ball is 106, but the engine is listed as the Freedom 100/6, while the Ness and Kingpin is the Freedom 106/6. What am I missing? This just an oversight in the Manual???

you can lead a horse to water..........
I am not thirsty--just asking what appears to be a stupid question to some.

The VIN indicates my bike has the "lower performance" engine. (doesn't ride like lower performance....) So I am GUESSING that is why it is referred to in the manual as the Freedom 100 even though it is 106 CID.
