Just traded in my 2004 Wing for a new 2012 Cross Roads. The difference is night and day. I have a long inseam, 34" and never could get comfortable on the Wing. The XR rides like they built it only for me! I do have a question. I got the quick release windshield and there is 1 plate washer on the bolt. Does it go between the windshield and the bolt head, or windshield and the bike? Or do I need more (rubber/etc...)? Also, does anybody know the correct torque setting for the 4 mounting bolts?
thanks!

Those washers go between the bolt heads and the W/S mount. I too "graduated" from touring bikes to a Cross Roads and am not looking back. I especially appreciate the simplicity of the XR, its a great errand bike, yet I would gladly ride it from sea to shining sea. Best of all, it carves like no other cruiser that I have ridden.
