Took a 235 mile ride through the mountains up North today after this
it's to cold. Most of the ride was 27 degrees outside of Phoenix. Heading
south after this. Az rides north are the most scenic I think.

Yeah. I'm at 3300 feet and know enough to go downhill during the cold months but like you said; the more scenic rides and roads are up in the hills.

We are definitely in a cold trend right now. Should warm back up next week.

It was nearly 70 degrees here yesterday so I took a nice long ride. Was still a warm 62 on top of the hills around here yesterday.

I'm sure it was a 'dry' cold though ...... ;)

Good on ya though ....., 40's and sunny are the low limits for my riding pleasure.....

When I lived in Spokane, Washington. I rode a little throughout the winter if there was no ice/snow on the ground. I wore 1000gram snow boots and a snowmobile suit and full face helmet. It's surprising how well you can keep warm if dressed appropriately.

I guess you ride below 40 degrees your covering your oil cooler "right"
If you're going to do that put a lightbulb that creates heat under the motor so it makes for easier starting.
Don't forget to crack the throttle a 1/8" before starting so you don't take out your starter

At least a half hour before starting my bike, I place a space heater near the engine. That warms up the cylinders, oil and battery, making the start-up a lot easier on those things.
