I tried the AC Delco battery in my V92C (had it three years) and it still holds charge and works but the termials failed. I got stranded last fall for a battery issue. The leads were loose so I tightened them and all was good (though I did have to be towed around 30 miles). On Saturday it started acting up again so I went to check the terminals and found this. I have no idea how this happened, I certainly did NOT crank down so hard as to shear BOTH terminals. I used a screw driver not even a ratchet. :eek

I hope to have better service with the Interstate Cycle-tron II High Performance I just installed.

I would stick with motorcycle specific battery manufacturers products. Vic battery bolts have a tendency to loosen, so one should always place lock washers under then. Based on the photo, I'd say that the terminal material was too brittle and the bolts were torqued on too much.
