Well something that may seem nitnoid that I have been aggravated with was the inaccuracy of the temp displayed on the bike. Why put it there if it is always wrong? Luckily, came across another riders post who relocated the temp sensor and no S*&T, it is on the money or no more than 1 degree off from reported temps for area. I have checked it against day and night, dry and damp and whats being reported by local weather centers is pretty much what I got. Also, noticed as riding in colder temp it was leaning more towards what was hitting you as it caught the air flow up from the frame/forks, not just a static which I like better.

Simple process to relocate. Remove windshield access cover from front of wing, on riders left mirror, a small silver tab at the end of a black wire is snapped in place. I gently removed and relocated just above fuel tank inside of fairing so it would get access to airflow as well when riding. Only thing I notice is with sun coming over my shoulder it was catching some direct sunlight and I seen the temp rise a couple degrees. May tuck it down there a little deeper. Will see, plenty of wire to play with.

Pic 1 = Located on mirror after removing with flat tip
Pic 2 = Showing connector it is run to
Pic 3 = Snugged up loose wire and zip tied to ensure no chaffing
Pic 4 = Zip tied to line above fuel tank on left side of fairing

Safe ridin all, lookin forward to reading any mods ya'll are doing or done.

I wraped mine around the over flow tube. I have checked it with smart phones only to find out its dead on now. Bank clocks are way off for the most part. Never have check it in 10 and 20 degree weath cause its just to cold to ride.

I may move it down a bit more but your correct on accuracy (not using banks) that it is dead on! Today as I rode closer to the waterfront, damp moist air coming in, temp dropped 4 degrees. Checked it against weather channel and it was on the money! Another small victory on my VICTORY! lol

They must have learned something from the Vision and I don't know why they didn't relocate it at the factory during manufacturing but the XC sensor is in a good spot because the gauge is always right on up to 120. Then it checks out.

Where is the location of the temp sensor on the XC Bob?

Not exactly sure other than it's in the fairing somewhere. Since it has always been accurate I never turned my attention to it. It might be in the service manual.

My xct seems spot on down to 15. Then it checks out as well. I've ridden in 0 degrees once (not fun) and teens several times this winter - with Freeze Out underwear.

Mine is where Ma Vic put it; inside left mirror. It's always been perfect. If mine ain't broke I'm not gonna fix it.

Well a couple weeks since moving it and I like it! As the temp changes on the road it shows accurate. Not that it didnt eventually mike but when I pull her out of the garage at 60 and it's low 40s, just took a while to get the temp accurate. Now it's within minutes. I may go ahead and move it a bit lower toward the fork but for now it's keeping good where it's at. Was out in 21 degree monday for a ride and it was solid. Hope we get some teens before winter is over to check it out. Sick ain't it? Not on a Vision. Lol some coworkers given me a hard time not riding the TC in the 20s. Lol, done it multiple times, not as fun. Lol
