Friday the 13th is a major event here in Ontario and draws a huge crowd to Port Dover even in the winter. We have to be overly vigilant at all times while riding, but to be honest, early season riding scares me a bit because you can't expect the tin can drivers to be alert for, and expect to see, motorcycles on the roads.

Be safe out there everyone. Riding season is barely upon us and one of our fellow enthusiasts is in rough shape instead of enjoying his hobby.

Sad.. Thoughts go out to his family...

We have year round riding here in Arizona, and so are treated to 2 or 3 of these stories in the news every week..

Saw a Goldwing rider one time.. Machine was upside down and smoking where it lay, slammed into the trees, paramedics working feverishly on a fella 15 feet from the road while his friends consoled each other and looked on.. That was up by Flagstaff.. Lake Mary Road ..He didn't make it..

It's always a tragedy..

But ...They also have year round hiking here in Sunny AZ too.. Seems as if more people go down from hiking as do those who get into trouble on bikes..

They say, on two wheels you make your own luck, so.. Yes.. Please... Having seen the aftermath ..Ride like you are invisible, and Stay Vigilant..

But, for God's Sakes.. Please throw your hiking boots away! In Arizona anyway, Hiking can only be equated with playing Russian Roulette! ;)
