Andrews V-438 cams. Who's using them in a Cross Bike? Just curious. That's the cams that the dealer I'm using recommended and my buddy has them in his Vision and loves them. I know a couple of other guys using Lloydz cams and they love theirs as well. I've researched the Andrews V-438 cams and they seem to be a good cam in the stock 106" engine. I've searched the forum on this subject and read about 20 different posts... Just curious what you fellas are running.

Alright... Rylan is an awesome guy. #1, he emailed me back within 2 hours on a Sunday. Not too many people would do that. #2, as I feared the Andrews V-438 cams wouldn't be a good fit on a 2014 XC and really weren't designed for the 106" motors. So I emailed the dealer I'm buying from and told him I wanted the Lloydz VM1 cams instead and that I would pay him the difference or any restocking fees. I feel much more comfortable with Lloydz products and now I'm kinda suspicious of the dealer... He's done right by me so far but I admit the cam choice is something he should know since he supposedly specializes in putting out hot rod Victory bikes. We'll have to see where this goes. Thanks again Johnny and I also took your advice about doing a proper break in before putting cams in.

when you email dealer always call them you never know if they read the email and understand what your saying or asking.

10-4. I called and left him a voicemail and he's supposed to call me in the morning and give me an update. I made sure I told him I didn't want to use the Andrews cams and that the Lloydz cams are the way I want to go. We'll see what happens. He's been good so far just wondering about why he suggested the Andrews cams... Thanks for all the advice.

Got the cam situation straightened out and he basically said he's had good luck with the Andrews cams in high hp Judge and Vegas models. I told him I'd feel more comfortable using Lloydz cams and he said that's fine and that he agreed that Lloydz makes great cams. End of discussion and after the break in period they'll be installing the Lloydz cams and Dyno tuning the bike. Thanks for all the help and the advice. And to those who have never used Rylan at the Vic Shop I highly recommend him. He's a stand up guy that really helped me out.

If the 438 cams were the best... or even in the top 3... lots of people here would have them. If you didn't notice, NO ONE here has them. 'Nuff said.
