Pics of Another Blue One

All,

Ok, I feel pretty corny doing this intro thing, but here it is.

I bought a 2011 XC in blue about a month ago.

I have been lurking around on here since a little before I made the purchase. Since I thought I might have a pasenger from time to time, I bought the trunk as well.

Of course I have already made a lot of little subtle changes. The normal stuff: short antenna, new grips, chrome kickstand, guage dipstick, layback tag, led accent lights

So my question is, will the chrome floorboard kits for the Vision work on the XC?

Here is the photo link. I guess I need to go study on how to insert images....

Oh yeah! The lift comes from Harbor freight. It fit fine with no spacers needed. I did weld a gusset in to give it a little more strength. It was rated for 1000 lbs, but I didn't like the idea of just one weld around the tubing holding it.

Howdy and welcome mate! I like the shortened antenna and lay down plate mods. Looks like neither one cost you anything but time which makes them the best kind, eh!

I've never been a fan of the led lights but I can see why some folks like them. I think they really help to be seen in the cities where it seems no one can see anything smaller than a garbage truck.

I look forward to seeing more of your mods!!

Congratulations on the new bike. Looks great. I'll agree with Bob, I like the shortened antenna and the layback tag. Is the tag an aftermarket item or did you just modify the existing bracket? I'm sort of on the fence concerning accent lights. I've seen some that I like and some I don't. My Cross Country is basic black, so if I was to make that choice, I'd probably follow your lead and go with the blue lights.

Good to have you on-board. You'll find some great folks here.

Thanks for the compliments.

I made the tag bracket out of aluminum flat bar and then polished it.

The antenna I bought from Auto Zone. It is still rigidbut it is much shorter than the stock, because it is spiral wrapped. It screwed right into the factory mount with no mods.

Ok......I answered my own question in the original post by calling Arlen Ness today.

The XC and the Vision do share the same front floorboards. With this in mind, I ordered the chrome floorboards for the Vision.

That should help bling up the engine area.:D

Welcome Victory Forums.

A couple of pointers. Please take the time to read the “Sticky” threads in the “Victory Forums Rules and New Members Introductions” forum. This will help you out a LOT with the Victory Forums.

The Search feature is your friend! You will find the answers to a lot of your questions by using it.

If you are asking questions that are of a technical/mechanical/electrical/performance nature, please place them in the “Victory Tech and Performance” forum. This will speed up a response. Placing them in the model specific forum can delay a response.

Please add the year and model of your bike to your signature, so we know how to help when you ask a question

Diamond,

Thank for the tipsthumb up

I got my sig done, posted my official intro in the intro thread, and read all the rules. (Whew! around 30 of them!)

I did a search before posting with no luck.

The technical forum description indicates it is where you find out what was wrong / diagnose problems with your bike, that is why I posted on the model specific thread.

Anyway, I'll do my best to color inside the lines point forward:)

Thanks again for welcoming me. It looks like there are some great folks on this board.
