Hello there... not a new rider, but new to Victory here and currently in the market for a Gunner if all work$ out.

Can anyone advise whether there are decent quick-release saddlebags available for the Gunner besides Victory's Lock n Ride branded product? Theirs seems rather pricey for what you get (dealer quoted me $750 for vinyl semi-hard bags, plus cost of brackets, plus installation fees).

I really like the idea of having bags that can easily pop on and off, and leave minimal bracket "footprint" on the bike when the bags are not in use. The Victory Lock n Ride seems like it would work fine, I'd just like to know if there are aftermarket options available for my purposes.

Thank you!! cheers

I don't know how the Gunner compares to the Kingpin, but Half_Crazy has a nice aftermarket set for his KP. He'll read this eventually and comment. If not, PM him.

Steel frame bikes are pretty much the same. He has US Saddlebags. Nice quality.

I bought EASYBRACKETS off eBAY, and cut up my old throwover bags, sikaflexed some 3mm perspex sheet inside the back of the bag to stiffen it the bolted the easybracket to it.
Fitted the new lugs to the rear fender rails and away I went...
Bit of work involved but now I got custom bags different from every other Victory.
Just had a look on eBay for you but all I can find are Easybrackets for Harley, Honda, and the like, but this is what they look like.

Harley has the best set up no frame rails left behind.
Do you mean that H-D has a set up that can be adapted to a Victory, or just that they have a good system in general?

I am looking for the smallest visible "footprint" possible, when the bags are not on the bike.

I wish I wasn't mechanically-inept lol. I shoulda mentioned before that I was also looking for something with a very simple installation.

Yes, I want the best of all worlds. ;)

if you want all the work done for you , simple, buy the Victory lock n ride system, you pay for it though.. for 'leather look' bags.
