Have an electrical issue again...blowing the horn/turn signal fuse and lose flasher, turns, horn, and taillight....changing her name to SS117 (stubborn scooter 117)...

Just saying that it still has some tweaking necessary. IE...find why it's drawing to much load after 20 minutes. I have the switch pod disconnected in the bucket to eliminate that section of harness...

Get a multimeter and start checking for shorts. If you have a wiring schematic find the connector pin for each item acting like a basket case and check for continuity to ground. Getting the motor in and out of a steel frame ain’t bad,. But you have to be determined. Sometimes wires get pinched or rubbed the wrong way during the process.

Basement Built 117 take III

Resolved. Previous owner soldered the OEM turn signal connector to the aftermarket turn signals and wrapped them in electrical tape. Tape had gotten gooey and connection was shorting. Resoldered and heat shrunk it all back up. Fuse hasn't blown again; almost 50 miles since repair!!
