I just wanted to know what your background was before you got your Victory.
A bit about myself, I have rode Sport Bikes for about 8 years (R6/F4i/RR600/SV650/fiddy/scooters/many dirtbikes) on and off the track had a blast. After riding around one day I realized going 100+ is comfortable and didn’t seem like a big deal. I found myself doing those speeds more and more. Then my GF now wife came into the picture and I realized I need to slow down, before I get tickets or hurt somebody/myself.
I’ve always had my eye on the Vic line up since 2003ish when Arlen Ness help design them, and every time I saw a Vic out and about I’d BS with its owner and mark my words not 1 time did the owner have a bad thing to say about the bike. So last fall I went to the Vic dealer just to “look” and went home with my 12 High-Ball. I must say I have just as much fun if not more because for me to get into the fun zone it’s at a much lower speed, and the wife can ride along if she wants to which = more riding for this guy. I still have the SV650 just in case I wanna go rip the twisties a bit harder but I bet I only have 500 miles on that bike this year so far. I do understand that some people have SPEED in their DNA and a cruiser would never do it for them but in my mind if it’s a 2 wheeler it’s all good.

Ok now it’s your turn---

I loved my dirtbike and rocket, but hardly ride them anymore, I am having way to much fun on my Hammer :) I figured if I want to get another death machine (which I more than likely will) I will get another one down the road :)

1976-1988 it was Hondas 350s--2&4 cyl,450s,550s, 750. Quit riding till 2004 when it was time for bigger pistons and lower RPMs. IOW- 6 Harleys, 1 VTX and 1 Valkyrie Interstate. Of course, now it is Vic. thumb up

Started on a dual sport, Yamaha XT350 years ago. Had a lot of fun but couldn't touch the highway so it made any real travel tough. Upgraded to a sport touring bike, Katana 750. I really loved it and started doing real riding and my wife could ride along. A few years of over packing a sport bike for trips and a lowside and we needed more room and I needed a cruiser. A few years on a Kawasaki Mean Streak converted to a bagger and we started looking for a bigger bike to do some bigger trips. Some new health problems and I need more storage than most people on the bike. The local Victory dealer had several bikes in addition to Victory and we stopped for a "look". Now my wife has a much better ride on our XCT.

Single-pin V-Twin guy through and through

1st: 90 Heritage Classic (2nd ebay purchase). 3rd owner back in 2001. Loved her but the old girl needed attention which I didn't have the garage and cash at the time to give her from frame up.

04 Fatboy bought new. Sold in 08 and don't miss the poor handling 5-speed clatter-box. Sounded good though with Rinehart drags, but never ran all that great. It's a Harley thing.

2013 High-Ball is my third scoot... Words cannot express how much more bike this scoot is from the previous two H-D's, yet still on a single-pin crank so it's got "that" V-Twin feel, sound, etc. thumb up

First bike in 1952 was a Simplex Servi-Cycle. A hodge podge of bikes until a 1980 Suzuki 1000G rigged for touring with a Windjammer and Samsonites. Then in 1983, the Yamaha Venture hit the market as the first full boat tourer and I stayed that course until my XR in 2010 when cancer and a weakened physique demanded a lower seat height.

As you can see in my signature, I've owned nothing but Honda until 3 weeks ago. Spent the last 9 years with a 2003 Honda VTX1800R. Nice bike! Very powerful. 31,000 trouble-free miles. About the only thing I didn't like about it was the stiff ride. My new XCT feels like a La-Z-Boy recliner by comparison!

I did most of my own work on the VTX. Learned a TON from the VTX Forums! Am already learning a TON about my new XCT from this forum! I'm glad to be here!
