What do you want to do?

What direction do YOU want to go with the bike? Chopper, cafe, lowered, raised up, dirt bike. Personally what would we like to do? If you are asking that? Let us know. Do you want a bar hopper? A bobber? Or an all out touring rig. Let us know then we might shoot some ideas at you to kick around. Have fun with it. Personally I would just get it running first. See if I like the bike, then consider modifying it to keep or if I did not like the engine/trans/ride then I would turn around and sell it and go for something else. Good luck!:smile

That's a lot o different types. I only really knew of the bobber, touring, and cafe styles. I did get the bike running, and the hope (depending on how fun I find d this) is that I finish this bike, ride it for a year then sell for the next project bike. I'll probably do a lowered/bobber ish bike. I do know the colors are going to be black, yellow, with a tad of chrome.

update

Well took a lot of things off the bike. One of the things ive decided to do is switch the bike to a peg control, Vs the floorboards. Does any one have a pic or two of what the pegs look like? im having trouble finding some.

The SC bikes used mid-mount footpegs, I believe; shifter & rear brake hardware to match, also.

If you want pegs in place of the C bike floorboards (same location, shift, brake, etc.), you'll likely have to fab something up... I don't think they were ever offered from the factory.

Peg controls are easy .... I see it is a steel frame bike ?

That means there are 2 holes on that frame already ?

I went with the 4" extensions .... Can i suggest to buy HD stuff and make it fit for your bike ? That would be tbe cheapest option and plenty options ?

Looking good! Doesn't even look like the same bike. All painted up will change it even more. Cool build.

I remember back, seems like a 100 years ago now, when I really enjoyed building bikes. Sometimes from the ground up and sometimes like this one. All good fun. Sure kept me broke though. Most the parts I got were used 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th hand which needed reconditioning. All part of the fun and process.

That looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun! I thought hard about doing something like that when I started seeing the older C bikes going for so cheap..
