People do it all the time, not really a big deal. The Cross Country scooters aren't really made to ride on rough dirt roads and handle poorly in sand. I bought my 2011 new and it has some raddles and scratches and so on. But I have did some rough dirt rod riding. When you do it shakes things around and causes things to squeak and raddle. Just like in cars, trucks, 4 wheelers. plus it does have some vibration also, specially at high RPM's in lower gears.
