I just got the brake away cruise control, and I came across a couple.... concerns while trying to install it.

First, I had to pull the throttle boss (I have the iso grips) off the end so I could slide the system on the grip. The screws for it are longer to hold it and the end cap on. Not really thinking, I put the end cap back on (with the longer screws and without the throttle boss) and it kind of pushed the grip off the bars a little. I pulled the cap back off and pushed the grip back on. Now, my throttle isn't acting right and won't return on its own. I don't know much about this aspect of the bike, so any ideas on how to fix the throttle return would be greatly appreciated.

Second, the clear ring inside the cruise control seems to be awfully loose in the housing. I'm not sure if it's just like that until the install is complete or not. I pulled the cruise control back off until I can get the throttle issue squared away. Any advice on either will be appreciated

Thanks guys

so with the cruise control off the grip. The throttle will not close by its self.
Pull the cheese wedge and see if cables are out of there tracks.
Open switch housing and see if cables are where they should be

The 7CP01 BrakeAway is designed to fit all the way over and completely cover the flange of the Kuryakyn Iso grip. You will need to use dish soap to lubricate the rubber pads of the Iso grip and then walk the ring and ring cap down the grip. It is a tight fit but it will go on.

I figured out what I did, when I stupidly put the one screws in the end of the grip and when I pushed the grip back on I must have pushed the throttle tube up on the bar too much, causing it to bind. Messed with it some and got it acting right.

With the ring being loose inside the housing, once I clicked it together like it was engaged, it was tight. I probably wasn't just thinkin right lol
