I'm going to be installing 1.5" lowering links and I've been warned to relocate the wiring harness so it don't get torn up by the tire. I know this thread has been done a lot but I took a look under the fender and from my perspective it doesn't look like it will be an issue. I'm hoping ya'll can look at these pics and tell me if everybody else's was set up this way and still burned the harness.

This first pic shows the harness outlined in yellow which is above the fender tubing and looks like the tire would hit the round bar before even touching the harness. Harness looks like it's tucked up in the corner of the fender

This second pic also shows the harness outlined in red as well as the round bar in green but what caught my attention is the metal framing in the upper corner of the fender in yellow. From my view point it looks like the tire would make contact with this framing thus preventing the tire from hitting the harness. It almost looks to me like the manufacturer put this in place to prevent harness smacking. Any thoughts?

you can let the air out of the tire and then push down on the bake and you should be able to see it it will hit wires

How would letting the air out of the tire help me determine that? I'm trying to picture it

cause then the tire would sink down and the top of the tire would be higher then the fram rails

:confused: I'm scratching my head over here. I can't imagine how the air pressure will affect anything. If you let the air out so its flat on the bottom, that lowers the hight of the rear axle thus lowering the hight of the wheel which then also lowers the height of the top of the tire and with the axle height dropping with deflated tire the fender should drop too. In my mind, when I see tire deflating, the top of the tire, the fender, etc drops all at the same rate. Inflating the tire raises the height of the top of the tire and the rear fender also at the same rate. Measuring the distance between the top of the tire and the fender should be exactly the same fully inflated or flat. Is this thought process wrong?
