Anyone know the type of headlight bulbs in the CC/CR? I tried searching the forums as well as the service manual, and couldn't find the info. Thanks!

They are H11s. I replaced mine with PIAA Extreme Whites. If interested, Google "PIAA H11." I found the cheapest at Amazon - a little more than $60 a pair. I got a local merchant to match that. Had to brighten up the headlight cuz my Clearwater LED running lights made it look like a yellow candle light. Yes, the Clearwaters are THAT bright.

For $60 I installed high and low HIDs. (5000K) The light is great, especially since Vic leaves the low beam on when you switch to high beam. Properly adjusted, the non-projector light won't be bad to oncoming drivers. The only problem now is that my lightbar looks like 5 watt yellow lights.

Thanks for the info! I am hoping to copy your lighting setup on my CR. But I see that the Clearwaters are like $475, ouch!

I looked at the price like a one time life insurance premium. I think I'm worth at least that much. If you phone Glenn and tell him you are a forum member, you'll get a nice discount. After checking out every road light set available, I found the Clearwaters to be the only ones to my liking. Check out their web site and the reviews.

Since they are about the same price, would you say that the Clearwaters + stock headlight are brighter/more noticeable than the factory HID option?

Not being familiar with the Vic HIDs, I can not answer that, but I will say this about that:
HIDs are very expensive to replace when they burn out.
HIDs draw a lot more current than the Clearwater Glendas, which I have. They draw less than 2 watts on full power.
The Clearwaters are hooked up to both the high and low beams and there is no switch, so you'll never forget to turn them on. When on high, they are at 100% power and gawdawful bright. When you dim for an oncoming car (instead of turning off like others do) they go down to whatever you have adjusted them for with the handlebar mounted rheostat. I have mine set at 30% and they are still very very bright.
The main thing I wanted to achieve with road lights was to present a triangle of lights to oncoming traffic so I would be as conspicuous as possible to them. I appreciate their small size (2" X 2"), their sophistication and their clean, bike specific mounting hardware. Check em out at "Clearwater LED lights."

Do the Clearwaters work with a headlight modulator?

Also, could they be mounted by the headlight? Similarly to the light bar offered by Victory?

Ricz, you're the Clearwater specialist. I expect some answers here. :)

You have me cornered, CR, so here goes.
I'm going to say more than I know here, but I think if you connect the Clearwater's low beam lead before the modulator and the headlight bulb, things should work OK. Glenn Stasky at Clearwater would be the final expert though.
I was originally considering mounting them alongside the headlight, but I learned that having them low would buy me added safety by creating that triangle of lights that oncoming traffic would see. Having them low gives me a better profile of the road at night. There are videos that demonstrate these things.
Also, I didn't want to be mistaken for a Harley with the road lights beside the headlight.
