dont do it. you end up with 5" pullbacks.the part #'s are
one digit apart. even the service guy wondered about them .
guess he should have called me. looks more like a tiller than
ever.remember the old push mower handlebars?i'd post
a picture but then you would laugh at my large w/shield AND
the bars.put about 300 miles yesterday.interesting riding.
needless tp say there is a set of proper numbered bars ordered.
ammo, thats probably why the brake line was too short.

the good news is the passenger can steer for a while and
you can take a nap--irv:eek:

You beat the hell out of me yesterday. We managed about 130 miles between her uncles 60th party, and going to Rockford Speedway. Sad to say though, that was plenty.

I hope my new to me Ultimate gets here soon and does the trick

we did 80 in the morning doing dr crap around winnebago and rockford. the rest after noon. and yeah we took breaks. 95
degrees riding and i think i cooked a rump roast with the motor heat.

for your viewing pleasure i submit your laugh of the day.
i taped the originals on just for sh-ts and giggles. the nice thing
about it is in 30 seconds i can have apes. by the end of the
week things will be back to normal.

So those are 2" pullbacks for xc, not standard xc bars correct? Looks like anybody could do the Tommy Lee trick with those bars!;)

You have just begun a new fad fella. Biker's biceps have grown large enough. It's time we say so long to doing pull ups on ape hangers and start working our pectorals on this swinging new set of parallel bars. The one who does the most flips during their dismount wins! :D

Irv,
I'm not going to knock it in the least mostly because I'm a function is more important than fit guy. Adding to that you may have accidentally came up with a fix for shorter riders and/or riders with limited reach either from size or disability.

I really like the way the sidecovers came out, those are friggin' sweet! I may just be copying that idea from you but if I do I'll make sure to give credit to you.

I'm curious, what are you using for a seat pad?

i found out its cheaper to cut off my arms at the elbows than
get new bars. going to the shop now.milwaukee saw is there.
hey ron just turn the bars around for you.
i have a pro pad[super large for the super large]. i also have
a ride easy--they help some. need some feedback when ron gets
that ultimate seat.

just remember ther is a blue xc on here that got color keyed first.
he also painted the entire bike the great looking tricoat--irv

What you want to use are the stock XC bars, they will give you 3" of pullback. They can be had from guys like me that have installed pullbacks on their XC ;-)

I just installed the 2" pull back bars on my XC a couple weeks ago and just finished an 3000 mile, 10 day trip with them. They were great and had a much more comfortable ride.

So I have my stock XC bars sitting in the box in the garage. Not sure what they are worth, but I will let them go for a fair price plus shipping.

Cheers,
Randy

Once I pickup my XCT I will have stock bars for sale(hopefully next Tues the latest). I am hoping to sell the stock bars and the stock XCT windshield to get some other accessories for the bike.

I am interested in the stock XC bars for my XR, just let me know a price along with shipping.
I sent a PM to Kevster with an asking price, but haven't heard back.

I am aksing $175 shipped.

Not sure what the going price for these would be as the only example I could find online was on Ebay where someone was asking $250 for bars taken off a brand new bike.

If Kevster isn't interested, and the price is reasonable for you, then you'll be next inline for the offer.

Cheers,
Randy
