Got this code today. I tightened up the battery cables Friday as a suggestion to a previous problem

The code is,

O 168 4

Anyone see this or know what it is?

Info is handy to answer any question, and that includes what you ride

2011 Cross Roads.

Was just riding down the road at 55-60. Check engine light just came on. Wasn't running it hard. Bike has about 5500 miles. Doesn't seem to be running any different.

OK...I gotta ask, HOW DO YOU CHECK THE ENGINE CODES and where is the list of what the codes mean?

at least some of the codes are in the service manual. i
assume the dealers have software to hook up to the
ecm. must be some info in owners manual too.

Yea, that's what the tech said. I have to take it over Friday after work.

Found the positive cable was loose. Took it for a short ride and the light didn't come back on, but i'm thinking it may be overcharging. I was showing 15 volts on my antique meter.

Still taking it over tomorrow to make sure it didn't hurt anything.

Well I rode it to the dealer and they put it on the computer. showed a low voltage code AND a high voltage code. THey said everything was working as should be. All this because of a loose cable. Light hasn't come on since I tightened them up.

On a side note, the demo truck was there and I did ride a Judge. It shifts better in my opinion. A LOT better. Maybe the linkage? Engine didn't seem as noisy as mine. Seemed to steer slower, but nothing horrible. Less ground clearance on the pegs. Drug one turning to go back to the dealer. Not even trying.

But in a 15-20 minute ride my ass was getting sore again like on my old seat. I'll stick with what I have now.

I was going to try a Vision but decided to not waste anymore daylight.

I did get my black crash bars too after almost six months of waiting. Now I have to black out the primary, engine cover, pulley cover, cheese wedges and headlight. Maybe the heat shields too.
