From our side of the 49th, cross border shopping either in person or via the internet has dropped quite a bit due to the current exchange rate. Losing 33 cents on the dollar has certainly put a damper on my related purchases over the last year. I've been holding off on the Lloydz intake to go with his VFCIII sitting here in a box. Maybe one day.

On the flip side, many of the US people along the border are venturing into the GWN for some bargains on skiing and other holidays. So just a note that if any of you are looking for an opportunity in the two wheeled market you may want to consider taking a look here.

Prior to our dollar going into the toilet, the prices south were so low that it was a fairly common practice to fly into the states and drive back in a truck.

Applying that same practice in reverse could prove beneficial for some. As an example, a dealer here has a 2013 Judge with 5500 miles on it asking $7123US. I don't think you'd save too much on new but check out autotrader.ca or the kijiji pages for some of the larger cities along the border.

Other than the one example I saw I haven't done any other homework. It's not mine nor do I have anything to sell. You may or may not find it of any use but I thought I'd throw it out there in case you know someone who is looking.

Now that you have another True-dough for PM, is BC going to susseed? Maybe BC can become North Washington state...you'll have to give up putting gravy on your chips and take up pot smoking with the rest of the Washingtonians. :)

Washington state wouldn't have them for a number of reasons but don't get me started. Raw sewage dumped into the Strait is just the starting point. They're a slack-assed group of liberals who want to do as they wish as long as someone else pays for it.(seems to be a theme in the PNW) And there's been enough weed here for the last 40 years to keep the country going and feed exports as well.

No, the Mexico of Canada isn't going anywhere.(sorry Mexico)

Personally, I have to say it certainly would be nice to be on par with the US dollar though. Besides motorcycle shiny bits my groceries would cost a lot less.

It seems too many take the term "left coast" way too seriously. Portland is so liberal, its even a Sanctuary City where illegals and other ne'er do wells are not only welcomed, they are invited. Sheesh. If I wasn't a cancer patient, I'd bolt to a more rural atmosphere where they love guns, bikes and God. Maybe not in that order.

Down here in Oz we lose 30 something cents in the dollar too.
Then got ripoff postage prices on top if that.
But it sure is a nice place to live regardless :)
