I've seen some threads where people have cut their stock pipes on a Hammer where they straighten out and basically just attached custom made tips that turnout. Basically just removing the stock mufflers and attaching turnout tips. Any thoughts on the pros and cons of this kind of project, just looking for a more inexpensive way to get a better sound without hurting performance to much.

i did it to my judge but welded them on. if u keep the clamps u can always go back. give it a shot takes all of 15 mins to pull them off. and it sounds so good when u crack it open!
pros alot less weight those cans are heavy as hell. cons ull never go back.
