Just stopped by my favorite Victory Dealer, which is not the closest to me - I pass by two other dealers 'till I get to Cycle Dragon. I've gotten my Cross Roads there last October, and stopped by today to get an oil kit. There was still an hour 'till closing, but as soon as I walked in I learned from the salesman that this is their last hour in business. They're closing down, and today was their last day. They had only found out yesterday, so they were as shocked as I was.

No, there was no liquidation sale or anything. The bike I've traded in for my Cross Roads was still on their showroom floor. What a bummer.

I have previously recommended this dealer on the forum as they were honest people, and had a great mechanic in Mike. Needless to say, I am sad. If anybody finds out where Mike goes, please let the rest of us know.

Good bye Cycle Dragon. :puke:

That Sucks. Unfortunately it seems that honesty can make it harder to survive in the business environment we have today. When people are only looking for the deal or the absolutely cheapest price finding a dealer that is 100% honest and has the best wrench can be difficult. I hope Mike finds a new dealer to work for. Good Vic mechanics can be hard to find

Man, that's a bummer. :( as I'm in search of a dealership who knows what they are doing, I called them last Wednesday evening around 5pm and nobody picked up the phone even though website said open until 6pm.
I also have two dealerships near by me but they both are brand new(to the victory and one is an HD dealership:D) and as nice as they were at the service department they both admitted that since vics are new to them they didn't know much about them, in fact it took one of them about 15mins to figure out what they needed to do for 20k miles service.
So if anyone knows a good honest dealer in LA or orange county area please point it out to me.
Thanks. :)

I haven't gone there, but the folks at Cycle Dragon did mention that they would try to seek employment there. If Mike goes to the Brea shop, I'm there.

Btw, if your dealer doesn't know what needs to be done at your 20k service, you're better off doing the service yourself. :crzy: cheers

Mike, John and Gregg will be missed. They have been absolutely great over the last year, and I wish I could have supported them more. I would be very happy - for them and for my scoot - if they both wound up in Brea, which would now be the closest dealer. I had my eye on a couple of XR in their showroom that John had modded up, but now it seems these are on their way to the new dealer in Simi (also Harley). I am saddened by their closing and wish speedy (job) relocation to all involved. Will support them wherever they wind up.
