Has anyone Drilled a acrylic windscreen. Not sure how the manufactures do it, but i don't want to crack it.

ARe you sure it's acrylic? Probably polycarbonate. You can drill it. Take it easy breaking through the back side. If it is acrylic, it chips easily. I put tape on both sides to avoid scratching the shield. That will also help with the breaking out too. Also,you can clamp plastic or wood to both sides(sandwich the windshield)before drilling.That should eliminate any breakout.

Yea I looked it up on JP Cycles web site. ICI Lucite Acrylic to be more
accurate. Thanks for the tips.

I've cut and drilled a few windshields, and most important thing to remember is DO NOT RUSH! Take your time and let the tool do the work or you will crack it.

They do make special drill bits for plastic. Check in your town for plastic shop they will have them.
One wrong movement and its junk

Would a hardware store or Menards, Home Depot have these drill bits.
If it makes for a safer job i will buy the bit.
