I'd never had a flat on a motorcycle until about a month ago. I went to a dealer to get the brake line recall done. She did seem a little bit squishy on the way, but not enough to get my attention. When the tech put it on the lift it was obviously low. He aired it and I rode home. I found a piece of welding wire about 1/2 inch long in it. I removed the wire and plugged the hole.
A few days later I checked the air. It had lost 10 lb. I aired it and checked 2 days later. It was down to 10 lb. This time it had a piece of a round file about an inch and a half long and maybe 3/16 diameter. I pulled it and plugged it too.
The wire may have been mine, but I don't recall breaking a round file. None the less, I gave the area around the garage a good cleaning.
This is my second E4. The first worked fine for 12,000 miles. I don't fault the tire at all here, just to say it is virtually a "run flat" tire, and that's good for me.

"A little squishy" would grab my attention by the short hairs.

good thing it was the rear. You never want a front to go flat on you
