Lets see.
You don't own your home. Don't pay your taxes to prove that.
You don't own your body. Offer your sexual services to a female police officer to prove that.
Now you don't own your bike? So what do we own?

The question is: Who owns us?

Duh, the Corporations! :D

It's funny; I was going to say I heard the same thing about John Deere tractors, and that is what the article references... :\

Wanna see how fast all that can come off and this thing can be carbureted?
Absolutely agree !!!!!! ..... For many years aftermarket kits are available for carbureted cars to be modified to injector's and visa versa .... .... ... No ECU needed ... No rev limiters, etc etc etc.

A quick Google search comes up with a 45 Mikuni for 127 inch V-twin Motor ....

Very good point HalfCrazy ....

china.............
In Sept. of 2015, China owned $1.3 T of the USA national debt. While they were the largest single holder of USA debt, their holding is only 7% of the debt. More than anything, this is another example of how huge the USA national debt is at roughly $18.5 T.

G'day,

awesome HC ...

MegaSquirt ? Electronic Fuel Injection Kit

if any problems in future could replace our vic system with carb or injection ... i know carburetor FJ40 land cruiser have injector kits .... so just rip-out the vic system and replace it with aftermarket injector system ... same system for 1 cylinder to 16 cylinder .... just different parameters .... setting up the parameters are complicated but if you would join together and pay 1 specialist then everybody would benefit

soooo the answer who own our bikes ???

WE DO ....

In the grand scheme of things;; What does it really matter.
I have a sidewalk in front of my house, I don't own it but i do have to maintain it... Been here for 46 years and never have i lost any sleep over it... So i'm not going to lose any sleep over a bike...
Worry about the guy making a left turn in front of you.:eek

Hmmmm not that this applies to me BUT:

Lets say you wanna super souped up V-twin and your government says you cannot change anything on the motor (hence the other thread about racing) thennnnn this should be interesting

Or .... You have some serious electronic problems on a 10 year old bike ... And fixing the electronic would cost you 2000 $ thennnnn this would be interesting

Etc etc etc .....

Just a joke with no pun intended ....

Modifying vehicles is what dudes do, so you can't stop it ...

sidewalk and engine's are not exactly Apple's for Apple's comparison ..... Ps ... We have a Gardner .... And after 5 years we got rid of the driver for my wife .... Nothing to do with V-twins but our sidewalk looks real nice ...

Lawyers telling you that you do not own the bike you bought just doesn't sound right to most people .... Maybe it sounds just FINE to you ?? And that's OK with me mate .... Whatever floats your boat ...
