Hi, I have a 2011 Victory Cross Roads and I would be interested in hearing what others are running for after market pipes.

I'm looking for a little louder then stock but still want to hear the radio.

TIA

I suggest you take about 20 min and bore out your baffle with a 1&1/8 inch hole saw. You'll get a nice sound, especially on acceleration and still be able to hear your radio at any speed. Best of all, the cost is ZERO $$$. If you don't like that, then go spend the money on some other pipes. For now, I'm very happy with the "bore" job on mine.

I put the stage ones on mine and they sound about right to me. I'm afraid to go any louder because I done that on my RG and it got annoying on trips. A little louder would be the Fatcats and even louder than them would be the RPWs. I haven't heard the fatcats but I bet they sound good. Enjoy your new ride .

IMHO:
D&Ds (my choice) are deep, louder than S1 and have great looks.
RPMs are def louder than D&D, but have a raspy sound.
CF are a bit quieter than RPW, but aren't raspy.
S1 is a mild change in loudness.
I've read similar perf #s for D&D and RPW, but haven't seen from others. If a pipe claims it has no need for even an S1 download, I'd expect it's perf gains to be minimal.
Again....IMHO.

2011 xc

I installed the thunder header for the vision on my x and they sound awsome!! You can also tweek the baffles to acheive different sound levels and back pressure to help the popping.

I am also looking for exhaust for my new XC. I went to my vic dealer, Volusia Motorsports, and was talking to Eric in sales about it. He took me out front and started up a Cross Roads with Arlen Ness Big Honker pipes and it sounded awesome. It was a bike with balls but not extremely loud just a big deep rumble. I suggest that you go and hear them in person because videos do them no justice.

I agree with Swede, bore out the stock exhaust first and see if that is loud enough for you. If you still want louder you could always go buy the pipes later. It will only cost you $30 bucks for the hole saw and extensions if you don't already have them. I posted a before and after video that you could look up. I will tell you that they really wake up when you open the throttle.

Good Luck with whatever your decision.
