I wanted to wait to post pics of my new bike until she got dressed up so here she is. (if I uploaded correctly) I bought 1.5" lowering links from another member on this forum and I'll install after it arrives. Hopefully, I don't have to do any mods to make it work. I'm happy with how she looks and now that I have my 500mi service done, I'll take her on an all day ride and see how cozy she is. cheers

Tattoo to go with my new bike

And here is a pic of the tattoo after 3 sessions with my bike incorporated. I took a printed photo of the '12 KP with all the up-grades I wanted to my artist about 4 weeks BEFORE I bought the bike. Boy I'm glad the dealer was able to locate and ship one in. :crzy: Anyway, you can spot that KP front fender, front wheel, inverted forks as well as the stage 1 and windshield...definately a KP. I do have to go back in a couple months for a touchup and he'll go over all of the lines for the bike and bring more color out on it.

Very pretty HOPE you moved the electric wires under the rear fender so when you hit a bump you don't burn up the wires

No, I've not started installing yet but that was on my mind. I've read in other threads that some has had to do that. I have a 400lb brother and I planned on having him bounce around on the bike to see if I'd have clearance issues. Is there really not 1.5" clearance between the tire and the wires when fully compressed stock?

Clearance was set up with the factory bump stop to give the maximum of travel without interference. So no there is not an extra 1.5" if you lowere it that way. To lower, and be sure you will not hve clearence issues. You need to either get a "Low" shock or a Penske. That way you run out of travel; before you run out of room.

BTW that is some NICE INK. Looking for someone around here that is good with the super color style for my chest plate

Thanks kevin. I've seen the lowering kit and almost ordered one with my bike when I did the rest. I kinda wish I went ahead and did it then. I'm only seeing this kit with 1" drop but I really need to get as much as I can without compromising much in the corners or rougher roads. I'm 5'7" and doing good to get the balls of my feet on the ground. If I bought the 1" kit and used the shock but used the 1.5" links, I wonder would tire still make contact with wires? Or is there a 1.5" kit with shock? Seat shaving is also likely to be on the list later.
