I can't find a dealer I can get any sense out of on a stage 1 download. what flash card part number did anyone who has a flash get for the card and what download? if you didn't get the flash what did you get?

Look up the stage 1 part number from the Vic accessory catalog and tell the dealer that you want the card that comes with it. They talk to Polaris through email because the dealer up here had never done a flash and didn't know if he could do one without buying the pipes and filter (even though I knew he could) and Polaris responded back that he could and gave them the price they would charge him for the download card. The cherry bomb mod you did is really not much different than the WD pipes I put on or any of the other home made mods. Even the S1 pipes are a baffled straight through pipe like a glass pack. If no one plays ball then you might have to get a VFC-III.

I used the loydz vfc3 and loydz air filter on my CCT.

Jchris, how has the lloydz air filter and vfc3 affected your gas mileage? I do expect to lose some mpgs with either the S1 or the VFCIII but looking to not lose much, just want better driveability and a little more power down low since I am on the twistys for 50% of my riding.

talked to a guy at super street customs in ga today. he says I will have to use the vic stage I download just like I had the vic filter, muffler kit. but it might still be too lean since the vic stage 1 mufflers are baffled and my home mades are not. he says there are no downloads for different brand mufflers, just vic. and the card is just something that authorizes a vic dealer to do stage 1 download once from the vic site.the card is 171.00 plus time for the download.

I think the dealer you talked to is confused what a baffle is. The vic stage 1 pipes are a straight through glass pack, just like the thrush's you put on but probably a smaller diameter. They are both glass pack style baffles just like the WD baffled mufflers I put on. That is also the same price for the download I got from my local dealer.

I didnt do anything left the sensors hooked up to till after i put the lloyds filter in. my plugs showed i was running rich anyway.

I didn't loose any gas mileage. By increasing air and fuel flow it runs more efficiently and can actually improve mileage.

TNXR, I did the Thrush glass pack mod on my VV, haven't done the 2nd air filter yet but it did improve my MPG's a couple but where I see the biggest improvement is in low end torque, and of course, sound. I didn't do the remap because it's still operating in it's adjustment range. I also, still have the O2's hooked up. I ride in the mountains of SC and this really brought the 106 to life for me.

I put the WD baffled in mine and I feel that has slightly taken away a small amount of power from my 106. It seems to me that my ride liked the back pressure of the stock pipes better which I think most bikes with a factory tune will. I am not new to modding bikes/cars so I knew what I was getting into when it comes to changing out pipes, filters, etc. I am happy with how they sound and if I had the skill set I would have done the full cherry bomb mod to my pipes as well.

when I cherry bombed mine with everything else stock the low end grunt picked up considerable. it used to get jerky around 2000 rpm but pulls smooth down to 1800 and back up after the bombs. I can't tell any difference except for low rpm power and smoothness.

I had a friend modify my mufflers a bit. We cut the restricted muffler out and inserted a 2" baffle. It is designed to slip out for further adjustments.
