Changed my fuel filter the other night, got around 33,500+ miles. Figured I better do it, did not want to starve the fuel pump of fuel because of dirty filter or being cheap! So took the tank off and took it out. I do have service manuel and it mentions the fuel hose on the inside of the tank on the fuel pump, yes it a pain to get out. Once you see how it comes out, then getting it back in is not as bad. ONE BIG opps I did was I did not finish the job the first night. I got lazy went and ate dinner, figured I would finish it in the morning. Well the tank was pretty empty, just went onto reserve. Tank set upside down with the vents and fuel lines plugged over night. Thought the tank was sitting good so fuel would not come out, WRONG! Fuel leaked out of the fill cap. I did have some of that clear plastic on top of the tank to protect the paint, it all bubbled up from the gas. Pain in the a$$e to get the old glue from the protective film off the tank. Dumbass :eek
So here are some pictures if I can get it to work. Well took my pictures with the phone, can not get it to work. Use to do it with my camera with no problem. I will try to post up pictures if I can get them to work later.
