Hey guys trying to fix a 2008 kingpin that runs rough and sometimes stalls, I sprayed some carb cleaner around the vacuum lines and intake boot and it revs up so I ordered a new intake boot and vacuum lines. Today I pulled the tank and when I set it down I noticed it kept dripping from the fuel pump outlet. Is that a tell tell sign that the pump is bad? I know when I pull my 05 tank it doesn’t drip or leak but the 08 tank just keeps dripping. I thought I had read that it shouldn’t drip and if it does your pump is bad. Thanks for the help

Personally, if it were my bike and it's pumping out the 50 lbs of pressure it's supposed to, i'd think it's ok. I don't think there a check ball or valve preventing the pump from dripping.

don't forget to replace all the vacuum caps. Auto store has them
