With all the posts I've noticed lately about bad dealers and service I thought I would let you guys know there are good dealers out there also. I bought a new 2010 Jackpot tequila gold in Sept of 2010. Got a really good OTD price on the bike with dealer installed swept pipes, remap, and two up tour seat. A couple of weeks ago the engine light came on 400 miles after I changed the oil. Bike ran as normal so I headed home with it. 4 days later I went to go for a ride and bike would not start. Dead battery. Charged the batt and went for a ride. About 350 miles into the ride the engine light came on again, Same as before bike ran as normal but I did notice the headlight seemed to surge brighter with higher RPMs. Got on it hard once while heading home and the low beam blew out. Switched to high beam (worked thankfully) eased bike home and checked it out in the morning and found charge system putting out 20.9 VDC at 4000 rpm. Called dealer and told them to order me a voltage regulator. Expected to get the bring it in run around but when I told them what all I checked and found the ordered the regulator that day and called 4 days later to schedule the install. Took the bike in for regulator and inspection. Dealer said they could not inspect it due to not enough tread left on the tires. Bike has 4500 but I usually ride it like I stole it. Dealer said they went ahead and ordered the tires for me. I thought that might be a little presumptuous but when I asked the price, they quoted me a price I could not beat anywhere. Pretty good for a dealer. The dealer is Valley Kawasaki in Harrisonburg VA. Sorry for being long winded but wanted others to know there are really good folks out there to deal with even if they are not the majority these days.
