Id like to formally introduce myself to the forum as FutureVic. (Hopefully that will change sooner than later!)
Ive been riding and / or racing motorcyles since 1967 and now just the last couple years Ive have finally made it to the street. My starter bike is a 1200 Goldwing in great condition with 29000 miles and me and my wife couldnt be happier with our purchase and the new world that street riding opened up for us. Weve been all over AZ on weekend rides and believe our new experiences together have brought us closer after 30 yrs of marriage.
Now after riding the street for two years, Ive finally been bitten by the Victory bug after seeing and then, researching a Victory Vision, and now I can think of nothing else except replacing my starter bike with a FutureVic.

Now if you see me lurking on threads asking questions about different Victory models its only me, FutureVic....being green with envy!

Thx Cervelo,

The Vision does look great, but so does the JP, HAMMER, KP or XCs. Gotta love the old school rock & roll street screamers.

Welcome to the Victory Forums.

A couple of pointers. Check out the “how to” in regard to posting pics here.

The Search feature is your friend! J You will find the answers to a lot of your questions by using it.

If you are asking questions that are of a technical/mechanical/electrical/performance nature please place them in the “Victory Tech and Performance” forum. This will speed up a response. Placing them in the model specific forum can delay a response.

Wow, never heard of someone with a GW for a starter bike! Whatever you do, take a test ride first. Too bad you just missed one at AZ Victory over on Cave Creek Rd. last weekend. You may find the motor not as smooth as the 6cyl GW but you can't beat the Vic for low maintenance cost. I have owned 8 jap bikes & will never go back to them after owning a Vic. By the way, I am right down the road from you in Peoria!
If your serious about a purchase, go see Dan at AZ Victory. We are fortunate to have a second to none dealer here in the valley.

Good luck!

Thx jokerman,

Yeah I did go to Az Victory on Saturday but by the time I got there it was 4:45 and they were putting away the bikes. Not a big deal. I was told by Kyle that I could ride Dan's Ness Vision anytime I come back. I just might take him up on that offer!
Probably wont be until after the new year that I'll be seriously looking with the expense of the holidays coming up, but in the meantime, I'll be narrowing my choices.

I traded my 2009 street glide in on my vision. There was nothing wrong with it and only had 5 thousand miles on it but the vision looks give me goosebumps just looking at it. I test road five vision be fore I made the deal. Every time I road a vision I new I wanted one but was scared of the change from harley that I know every thing about and fix any thing that goes wrong. I read every thing and never found a bad word about the bike. Ya some guys have some small problems but keep in mind there few considering to how many are on the road. Mater of fact the only real problem is what exhaust or oil to buy or use. I road the XC model after I bought the vision and its ok but the vision is just like being in the recliner for every mile after mile. You having a GW you know comfort. You will find the vision is a pain in the ass when you stop and people go gaga over the bike. Some days you want to ride instead of visiting.
I am very happy that you and the wife are closer cause of riding it does make every day that much more enjoyably.
I see victory is offering 3 year warranty.
Good Luck:crzy:

Thx visionjohnny,

Theres just nothing on the road that comes close to the Vision in looks. Sort of a cross between a classic car and a fighter jet. I especially like the look when the rear trunk is off, which is the way Id have mine set up. A rear passenger backrest and maybe a small luggage rack is all I need back there. I hear it improves handling with the trunk off too.
Thx for the kind words!
