Sounds like you have it figured out. Sprag gear but your starter may need a rebuild too. New brushes and some cleaning will usually do it.

Ok thanks didn't want to tear it down and it was only the starter.because i c from posts that some bike will still start if starter clutch is bad.Mine just make that whining noise and spin slowly

What is your point here? Are you still having the same problem from 2.5 years ago? Did you ever fix the problem? Did the problem reoccur? Looks like a sprag clutch/gear problem to me. Starter sounds like it is turning but will not turn over the engine.
