I have the Vic ones - worked them in on the deal when dickering for the bike. They are great in summer too as they help to keep my feet on the boards at high speeds. I've ridden my XR in the low 30s and my legs do fine. I won't leave home without em. One thing I like about Vic's deflectors is I can go to a plastics shop and make replacements, or differently shaped ones for cheap. Love your idea about the treadmill - so far this month, we have had rain every day but one and today is the 26th. Enough already! Thanks RICZ. Hey what kinda lower wind deflecters do you have? I noticed last night my legs got a little nipped on the way home, about 49 degress. Its raining here today and suppose to tomorrow. The ol ladys gona chit when she comes home and I have this thing on the treadmill a crusin away.
I had a BWM r1200rt as well. The wife called it the shudder bug. The first redlight we took off at she says what the hells wrong with this thing. I explained it didn't have quite the torque it needed for that tall first gear and you had to rev it up to get going, and it shutters a little. Then she says, whats that smell and I said thats the clutch smell from reving it up. . I about got rear ended at a redlight by an F250 from stalling the motor. I traded it the next day. I wished it would have happened a week sooner, I would not have paid them $385 for a first service. Love the XC, rides, drives great. Takes bumps better than any bike I've had and I've had about all of them, seriously.Welcome aboard. The XC is a very good bike. You'll like all the options on it because Victory did a good job thinking them out. I am pulling 45-50 mpg at 60-65 mph. Do recommend the ipod cable, and activate the XM radio. My last bike was a BMW R1200RT, and it does not compare to the XC-glad I bought the XC. By the way, if you ever have it painted you will discover quickly how easy it is to disassemble, and reassemble the body parts. Again, Victory did a great job at engineering it to be simple and user friendly. Have fun.thumb up
