Just wanted to say hello to all the members here! Just traded in my Harley Electra Glide for a 2013 Boardwalk Blue Cross Country Tour. It's a tribute to my father who passed away three weeks ago...He rode when he was younger and always said I needed to take time off from my business to ride. Between the fire department job and the business I was burning the candle at both ends. He was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge as a member of the 101st Airborne. I plan of having his name and the Screaming Eagle painted on the fairing in his memory. Needless to say I'll be taking more time for myself and my wife (who rides a Road King) to enjoy our time on Earth. Thanks for reading my long intro!

My condolences to you and your family. Your Father was a true Hero to this great country. It will be a fine tribute to him to ride in his honor with your custom paint on the bike. cheers

Congratulations on the new XCT and welcome aboard!

If your looking for a local group of riders this Spring/Summer, we ride out of the Victory shop in Griswold, CT every third Saturday.

Redrocker, What time do you roll from there? I might have to get up early but I'm always looking for new rides.

It usually depends on the destination. For example, our ride last April was a Rhode Island destination and we broke out around 1000 or so.

If we're heading to Mass or Maine, we try to leave at 0800 or so, but we may tweek that a little this year. The shops website should have this years ride schedule posted by next month, but don't hold me to it.

We'd love to have some new riders this year! Hope to see you CTKingpin.

I will post the dates in the New England Thread as soon as I have them. cheers
