Has anyone else ordered a new 2014 and its taking forever to get here? Heres my story.....
So July 26th I went to the dealer after repeated emails to polaris about a Xcountry. Ive been wanting a white XC for a while now. Emailed them to see if I could special order a white XC. They said I would have to go through the dealer. So I went and talked to them they couldnt order one and didnt know if the XC would be offered in white any time soon. So I traded my 11 Vegas 8ball in on a Nuclear Orange 13 XC. Got it home wife hated the orange but loved the new ride comfort and bags etc... Well on Monday Vic come out with a white/blacked out XC. EXACTLY what I wanted. So I call the dealer he already knows the deal and takes back the 13 and 2 weeks later he is able to place an order on my 14 White XC. He said it should be in end of Aug. begining of Sept. I call him the begining of Sept and he said it should be here on the 12th. call on the 13th still not here. He said Vic has some part issue of delay on parts and are now 2more weeks out before they will ship. Has anyone else heard this?
I feel as if im getting the run around. What should I do? i dont want to piss off the dealer but Ive been without a bike for 2 months now and I just want my bike!

If yours hasn't sold, see if he'll give it back until he can make the deal.

I would go get it but my wife has become really uncomfortable on it in the last few months. She thinks the seat is worn out. Last time we rode it was maybe 100 miles and her back/butt was killing her to the point she rode with my brother back home on his Street glide. Thats why I moved up to the XC.

Keep in mind that it may not be a hold up at all, it may have a lot more to do with transportation. Victory tends to wait to deliver bikes until there are enough orders to send out to the regions. I ordered my XR on 05 Aug 2010 and waited until 20 Sep 2010 for it to show up.

it could be a quality issue, it could be part supply issue, it could a financial credit issue with your dealer and Polaris.

Lots of things can tie up your new bike.

It's most likely a supply chain issue. Coastal Victory in Murrells Inlet received several '14 bikes a couple weeks ago, but nothing since. they have a white one on the floor (it might be sold already though). They also have the suede titanium, the new havasue red , and suede silver with flames.
you might wanna give them a call, with the weekend coming up, it'd be a nice ride.

Good to hear things worked out as planned. The guys @ Cherokee and Coastal work well together. I am fairly certain that had there been any problem getting yours that they could have "swapped out" the white one @ Coastal and shipped Coastal the one that was coming in for you at the later date.

Yep Danny is super cool that's why I went back. He has always went out of his way to make me feel like family not just a customer. I highly recommend Cherokee trikes to anyone. And If any of you hate the stock windshield. Please get the Klock Werks its great! Next on the list will be a 21in front and cams!

Awesome looking bagger... I want the exact same unit. 23" front wheel with a 2-3 degree rake ( not sure what it takes to fit the 23 on a Vic). Bag extensions, fillers, mini apes, 1.5" lowering links and a lower profile seat if possible. I love the white man, and am slightly jealous. I love my HighBall for short trips and commuting, but the bagger I have built in my head is way cool.

You need to order the Lloydz support cover to replace that primary derby cover. Lloydz sells it in black so it will match your blacked out primary cover better than that pressed tin cover it comes with. The Lloydz support cover is also functional meaning it supports the primary cover to keep the clutch springs from causing it to flex. It is a very high quality piece.

While you are at it you can get one of Conquest clutch arm covers as well to cover up the clutch arm.

Don't forget to get one of Dain's brake pedals, they are priced right and the best pedals out there. You don't have to ruin your brake pedal arm by drilling it out. It takes 5 minutes to install.

For safety add a set of powder coated Motolights, they are the very best and they look factory installed.

For a really nice high quality set of Floorboards these are going to be real nice. They won't be ready until the fall but from what I see they are going to be awesome and they are a Victory part.

A nice black shifter peg with flames from Arlen Ness.

A nice black shifter rod.

Very nice replacement dipstick made of billet aluminum. This is not a blacked out part but you could have it power coated.
