I'm a new Victory owner looking fo information

I just bought a beautiful 2001 Victory V92C with 3256 miles on it. This thing is perfect except for it is too tall for me. I am trying to find how I can lower it. How hard is it to get parts for this?

Can anyone help me out?! I have a 2001 Victory V92C that I just bought, I couldn't pass up the deal, but the problem is that I am a shorter guy and the bike is pretty tall, or maybe the seat is too wide. But whatever it is I would like to know if there is anyway to lower it? They sell all kinds of stuff for the newer bikes but it is hard to find anything for this model. I want to keep the bike but also want to be comfortable. If not then I will sell it and make money on it.

E-mail Steve Curits ( [email protected] ) and ask about a clevice for the V92C. You'll get it lowered by 1.5inch.

Just make sure you get any information you can as when you lower a bike you can open a can of worms. I bought my Kingpin with the lowering links on it and they are coming off before any more serious damage occurs than what already has been done. I would always here weird noises even when hitting minor bumps. Much louder the bigger the bump,pot holes. I was adjusting my belt today and had my saddlebags off. I noticed the belt guard was next to touching the belt and seemed out of position over the pulley. I pulled the guard off to straighten it. I put a strait edge where it looked bent and sure enough it was. Got it back on the bike and it was much better. I happened to notice the edge of the fender over the pulley was scraped down to bare metal. It was obvious that the pulley and belt guard was hitting the fender causing the damage to both. I have also heard that the tire may hit the inside top of the fender where the wiring is. I think Witchdoctors sells a shield to protect the wiring. There should be a few guys here that have experience lowering their bikes that can give you a few tips. Good luck with the project.
