Well I finally did it! Just signed the paperwork on "MY" new 2013 Victory Vision in Sunset Red. Its still in the crate at the dealership & I pick it up on Tuesday.

MY new Vision will have its first upgrade included when I pick up the bike... Victory's (discontinued) Stage 1 - LEVEL 2 performance intake & exhaust system. My dealership had two sets available and I decided to go with this exhaust system instead of the typical Stage 1 system. The dealership was having a demo day & I saw/heard a Vision with this system on it. Seeing this system in action really sold me on it. It'll be a somewhat louder than the normal Stage 1 but boy does it sound good.

Other than the exhaust and intake system I've also ordered the lower air deflectors and the rear cover panel so I can take the trunk off. Once the trunk is off I kinda wonder if/when I'd put it back on. From what I've heard it's hard to put it back on once you realize how it handles with it off.

So for now my only problem is Tuesday. How am I possibly gonna sleep between now and delivery time? What will I do to keep myself sane during this impossibly long wait?

Sure did! She's sitting in my Roadstar's old spot (that one was sold yesterday). Its a beauty of a bike and I can't stop smiling. I've also spent most of the evening in the garage working on & playing with it.
The dealership didn't do quite what I was expecting. Bought the bike & asked if they could install one the the sets of the S1L2 systems they had in stock. At the time of purchase that answer was a resounding "yah! There's no problem with that at all." They even said that they knew I was going to want the S1L2 setup (we talked about it with the demo truck guys & two salesmen the day before) and that they already looked into everything. All was good... at least on Sunday it was... instead they built the bike with the typical Stage 1 kit. Didn't call me, didn't inform me that the S1L2 wasn't going to happen, nothing. I show up and the Stage 1 kit is on the bike & I said "uhhh? those aren't the pipes I ordered or bought on Sunday". We argued for a little bit, huffed and puffed, and to make a long story short, they gave me the S1L2 slip-ons & I installed them myself this evening. They didn't do a very good job of installing the Stage 1 pipes. The tech stripped three of the six mounting bolts/studs and didn't install one of the other three. There was only two good mounting bolts holding the pipes on. I now have to go the Lowes or Home Depot to get some new bolts needed to finish the install of the S1L2 pipes in the morning.
Other than that, all is good but I will be going over the bike very closely before my break in ride tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing my own 500 mile service too cuz I don't think $300+ is money well spent on a service at this particular dealership.

Dude... Your dealer blows... My 500 was just over $100 and took less than an hr and let me watch the whole thing...

Congrats on the bike!

Glad to hear but you really need to sit down with the GM about the shoddy work. Another Vic dealer that may have problems in the future unless they know how bad their work is. Way too many people calling themselves techs or mechanics today that really are not. I had one strip the oil plug and not tell me. Wife noticed a spot of oil under my bike.

Have fun. Hopefully the weather is nice all week so you can hit the 500 miles

Yeah, my 1st breakin service was about $135. You really need to talk with someone about their service and build. All in all, you got it worked out and I know EXACTLY what you mean about sitting in the garage every night looking at it. Congrats dude...you'll really love it after about 2000 miles when the engine really comes to life...
