One of my Venture friends just posted something about the newest I tunes messing up his computers blue tooth capabilities. In part this is the post.
"An Ipod is provided with 2011+ RSV. To update the music on the Ipod you must always install the latest version of Itunes on whatever computer you have. APPLE hates to be compliant with anybody and will not let their bluetooth talk to Android or IBM or AMD or Intel any other bluetooth. As of the install of version 12 of ITUNES, that software displays a message saying something like, "Your bluetooth drivers are not compliant" and then proceeds to disable and get rid of them on your computer. (Yeah... I was justa punchin and a stabbin -OK- to all the legalese just to get it installed... MY FAULT.)

The NERVE...

The only way to get your bluetooth drivers back AFTER you update your Ipod, is to UN-Install Itunes and the 4 separate unlisted software packs it installs then do a SYSTEM RESTORE on your computer to revert to a time before you installed this version of Itunes."

Anyone else experience this?

negative. I have the most current version of Itunes on my work laptop and that has bluetooth connection to my wireless headphones as well as a couple other devices we use for work and I have no issues with the bluetooth adapter being disabled or anything. but to be fair, i don't use an ipod - i connect to my iphone for updates and such. does anyone still use an ipod? lol

What else can you use on a Victory Cross Country Tour to hold the music that is going to your stock stereo? I just use an old early generation ipod but I make sure to not ever use Itunes. I load it with music via other methods so I never have to have that bloated privacy invading POS itunes on my computer.

lol, i don't have a XC so I was just poking fun. mostly because everything I have connects via bluetooth and i stream it from my phone, namely my sena.
s'all good, but I do use itunes quite frequently and haven't had a single issue with the bluetooth adapters on any PC.

I spent the coin and bought the SENA harness and dongle for the Victory. For me it is hap hazard to get the thing to connect, occasionally it drops out. Really for the money it is not a quality deal like you would think it should be. Unfortunately Victory is the ONLY manufacture to use this method. Everyone else just bought radios that had BT compatibility. It works but dang I have to read the directions and hope it connects.
