Anybody out there have any hints or suggestions before I start changing cams in a week? The rear cylinder looks very close to the frame. Any special tools needed? Any input would be helpful.

Hello, I have 2010 vegas 8 ball. I removed throttle body, fuel rail and air intake rubber to make clearance to remove valve cover. It came off jiggling towards front of vegas. You will need a strong Neodymiun magnet to withdraw pin from cam carrier. thumb up

My 07 100 cu vegas did not require a magnet to do a cam swap

There was no pin in my motor. Just bolts on the cam carrier to be loosened

You need a special tool for turning the crank so you can get the pistons to top dead center. I just used an allen key inserted the long way in the slot of the crankshaft and turned it by hand.. it was a pain. Looking back I should have bought the speciality tool or made one with an old socket and bolt.
