So, this weekend, I call the Victory dealership in Vallejo, CA - not the one I usually go to, but I was going to be in the area, and I thought I could pick up stuff there rather than having to drive to the other dealership (Arlen Ness) where I would invaribly end up spending more money than I intended... All I needed was some oil...

So, I call the shop and ask for parts. Guy gets on the phone and I ask how much for the Victory oil. He tells me "Its about $20/qt." I say "Is it about $20/qt, or is it $20/qt?" His response "Ive got a customer in front of me and I dont have the time to go look."

Well excuse the F outta me! Dont you have a computer in front of you where you can look up stock? You cant ask me to hold while you help the customer? Instead, you lie and tell me that the oil is twice as much as it sells for? (Found out later, after checking the quart in my garage and calling back to ask why their oil is $20.qt when the last qt I bought cost me $9.99...got a different guy that time...)

Was the guy trying to lose a customer or what?? If youre going to lie, at least lie and make the price CHEAPER so you sucker me into coming to your store! Instead, you lost a customer...because I drove 40 miles out of my way to the other shop after that experience.

It's not just customer service... it's society in general. Blame whatever you want, but in the short time I have been on this rock I have seen common sense and common decency continually erode.

Nah, for every guy like that there are 3 or more good ones. The guys I deal with are great. 3 different Victory dealers and all 3 have really nice customer friendly people working there.
