It will handle you but you will need to adjust the preload. There are also other shock options out there for the KP. Conquest Customs has a Penske shock that everyone raves about. I have the KMAR, Kewl Metal Air Ride. Unless you are an aggessive twisty rider this set up is EXCELLENT!!

Have you check out the new Cross Roads and Cross Country?

Thanks for the input I like the new bikes but my price will have to be used for now.
Buy yourself a shock adjusting wrench and spin the nuts down. Riding two up and fully loaded with gear would be close to the weight you'd be riding with and mine ran fine. Enjoy!

I'm 6'4 and 280. I've had a 175lb passenger with me on few rides:

1. You will NEED forward extensions. I run 4" extensions on my Kingpin Tour. It was barely ridable with the stock floorboards.

2. The bike pulled the weight all day long but the suspension bottomed out a bit. I did not adjust the shock for the load.
