A couple days back I was riding and I tried to change playlists on the IPod. Control will not even bring up the play list. Mashed it several different ways and finally go it to change. But it does not work like it should. Anybody had issues like this? Any ideas of a fix short of financing the comeback of Victory? I tried to look for one online and I think they want over $150 for it if I had the right part #. The rest of the buttons seem to work OK.

Could be an issue with corrosion or just a little dirt. Maybe a hit with electrical contact cleaner will help. Worth a shot. WD-40 Specialist makes a good one.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

I must be thinking of something different then. Do you have a picture of what you are referring to since I am drawing a blank. :nerd

I had something similar happen and it turned out to be the iPod. I hooked up a different iPod and worked perfectly. Once I reset my iPod, everything was back to normal. So, may want to try a reset of your iPod and see if that helps or try someone else's iPod if you haven't already.

You hold couple buttons to reset the iPod. I've been doing that a few times with mine lately.

Okey Dokey Charged up Ipod, it was pretty much DOA when I went out to reset. So for now it seems to acting normally. Changes and resets playlist etc. So I dunno maybe its all good and for some reason a low battery or something else created a snag.

Hopefully that's all it was. Sometimes I will have things happen which I can't really get to repeat so hopefully this bug won't creep back up again. Call that a win.

Had something similar to that where my frickin' iPOD wouldn't come up at all. Just got "AUX". After it charged up it was fine. Those Apple (AKA "Big Brother") products can be finicky. I was about ready to take the bike apart when I realized it (the IPOD) might be the culprit. I've learned a couple of times the hard way to "KEEP IT SIMPLE" . Had a problem with my power point in the Vision glove box. Was fixin' to tear it the fairing of and chase that line down. Something told me to look in power point itself. (DamnedifIknow what). Turned out to be a piece of plastic had fallen into the socket......KISS brother. Start with the simplest stuff first ;-) LMYR

I use to use my phone a bunch and a mp3 player on the Yamaha and seldom had a problem with low charge. The Victory is well OK not so much the bike as the IPod. If it is fully charged today and I ride and then dont for say the rest of the week, it usually is dead by 4 or 5 days. I would think if bike is off there is no draw on IPod.

Virtually all modern electronics have a small current draw on them when they are in the off position. This will run the battery in the device (if it has a battery) down given enough time.
