Funny, a buddy of mine that has been riding for somewhere in the neighborhood of about 40+ years uses something just like that to lift his Harley. Only difference is he made his entirely out of 1" square steel tubing and put a big piece of rubber on the edge that contacts the bottom of the bike. Does all of his own service so it has seen a lot of use...

I can see the bike getting real wobbly, and crashing down. JMO, but I wouldn't trust that.

I used one of those for years to work on a Yamaha. I also had another one made out of metal with a rubber roller for the frame to sit on. The worst part is how much effort it takes to lift a heavy bike. Also you can only get one wheel off the ground at a time.
